The HotDive App works with the HotDive Pro smart diving housing and can be set to two modes: scuba diving and freediving. These modes are only available on the HotDive Pro due to its built-in dive computer.

Scuba diving mode is able to show real-time depth, maximum depth,  current temperature, and current diving time. It also allows you to set a maximum depth vibration reminder, maximum diving time vibration reminder, and vibration reminder when the ascent speed is too fast. This function is very helpful for both first-time divers and professional divers.

    I’m glad I took the time to learn the set up before my trip. The set up does take some time but will secure your phone. I was really happy that all the photos and videos from my dive were on my phone and didn’t then have to be transferred from a camera. It’s easy to move from camera to video mode while diving and took great pictures even though I’m not at taking pictures myself. It gives you a lot of options for filters for more advanced photographers (which I’m not). I used the basic setting and got great results. My dives were not deep enough where I required the light but the red lens did help. Very happy with my purchase and look forward to using it on future dives.

    Incredible protection and easy to use. I took these pictures and video 80 feet down. I highly recommend you watch the YouTube video on how to setup the case but otherwise its as easy as pointing and pressing the shutter button. I dove six times over the week I was in Turks and Caicos and never had a problem. I will add there were others I dove with during the week that had cheaper versions of this case and all of them had problems. One guy tossed his case in the garbage right on the boat and asked me for the name of this one. The fact that I could use my own iPhone to take these picture made is much easier to backup to the cloud and to share with friends and family by simply sending a text or email.
